Copyright Notice

Use of SeaLifeHits content, promotional materials, member content and third-party material

Respect the creator. Original text, graphics, software, images, designs and other creative material on SeaLifeHits may be protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Rights belonging to members or third parties remain with their respective rights holders.

1. Copyright and Protected Content

Copyright and related rights may apply to original material published on SeaLifeHits.com, including text, graphics, artwork, photographs, videos, audio, software, source code, page designs, promotional materials and other original creative content.

Copyright protection arises according to applicable law and does not depend on material carrying a copyright symbol or being registered.

Unless a different rights holder or licence is identified, content created specifically for SeaLifeHits may not be copied, republished, distributed, sold, commercially exploited or incorporated into another website or service without permission, except where applicable law allows the use.

2. Personal and Legally Permitted Use

You may access and use SeaLifeHits content for the normal purpose of using the service.

You may also make limited personal copies or use material where such use is permitted by applicable copyright law, including applicable quotation, private-use or other statutory exceptions.

Any legally required attribution, source acknowledgement or author credit must be respected.

This notice does not restrict rights that applicable copyright law gives users independently of SeaLifeHits.

3. Official SeaLifeHits Promotional Materials

SeaLifeHits may make banners, splash pages, logos, referral graphics, text ads, promotional copy or other marketing materials available specifically for members to promote SeaLifeHits.

Members may use those officially supplied promotional materials for their intended SeaLifeHits promotional purpose, including use with an authorised referral or affiliate link.

Unless SeaLifeHits expressly allows otherwise, promotional materials must not be used in a misleading way, altered to create a false claim, presented as another business's own material, sold as standalone content or used to suggest an endorsement that does not exist.

4. Member-Submitted Content

Members may submit website URLs, banners, text ads and other promotional material through SeaLifeHits. Copyright in member-created material does not automatically transfer to SeaLifeHits merely because the material is submitted to the service.

Members are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights, licences and permissions necessary for material they submit.

The permission needed for SeaLifeHits to display, process and distribute member-submitted promotional material through the service is governed by the SeaLifeHits Terms & Conditions and the nature of the service requested.

SeaLifeHits may remove or disable content where there is a reasonable basis to believe it infringes copyright or other rights, violates the Terms & Conditions or creates legal or security concerns.

5. Third-Party Content, Software and Brands

SeaLifeHits may contain third-party trademarks, logos, software components, advertisements, linked websites or other material belonging to independent rights holders.

Such material remains subject to the rights and licence terms of its respective owner. Inclusion on SeaLifeHits does not transfer ownership to SeaLifeHits and does not grant users a licence beyond any permission supplied by the relevant rights holder or applicable law.

References to third-party brands are used only as reasonably necessary to identify services, payment providers, websites or integrations.

6. Uses Requiring Permission

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, written permission should be obtained before you:

  • republish substantial SeaLifeHits-created content on another website or service;
  • sell, license or commercially exploit SeaLifeHits-created material as your own product;
  • copy or redistribute SeaLifeHits source code or proprietary software;
  • remove or falsify copyright, author, attribution or rights-management information;
  • use SeaLifeHits branding in a way that falsely suggests ownership, partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.

7. Reporting Suspected Copyright Infringement

If you believe material available through SeaLifeHits infringes copyright that you own or are authorised to represent, please contact SeaLifeHits and provide enough information for the matter to be reviewed.

A useful report should include:

  • your name and contact information;
  • identification of the copyrighted work or material concerned;
  • the SeaLifeHits URL, member advertisement or other location where the allegedly infringing material appears;
  • an explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorised;
  • confirmation that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for the rights holder.

SeaLifeHits may request additional information, temporarily restrict access to material while reviewing a report, contact the submitting member, remove material where appropriate or take other action consistent with applicable law and the Terms & Conditions.

8. False or Abusive Reports

Please do not knowingly submit false, misleading or abusive copyright complaints. A false report can harm other users and may itself create legal consequences.

Where ownership or permission is genuinely disputed, SeaLifeHits may require the parties to provide additional evidence or resolve the underlying rights dispute through the appropriate legal process.
